Inspired by Persian motifs, gardens, carpets, illustrations, ornamental and decorative design. Ladan has attempted to state her feelings about the world in terms of harmonious and imaginative patterns that can be found in Persian textiles, ceramics, architectures and calligraphy.
Ladan has been passionately creating glass art, majoring Reverse Glass Painting for over a decade. Reverse glass painting is an art form consisting of applying paint to a piece of glass and then viewing the image by turning the glass over and looking through the glass at the image.
A unique Cold glass-art technique that was established in Iran back to Safavid era (1502-1736) and in Qājār dynasty (1789–1925) reached to it’s peak. She learned this art form from one of the few masters of reverse glass painting in “Malek Museum-Tehran” from 2014-2016 and have made many glass artworks and attended shows since then, to express the state of life she feels inside to the outer world.
undeniably, the unique properties of glass, such as transparency, translucency, reflection and fragility is the main quality in Ladan’s artworks.
